About Philip

Philip Retif is an attorney and a United States Marine. Mr. Retif earned his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law, New Jersey and subsequently passed the New York and New Jersey Bar Examinations. While attending law school, Mr. Retif interned for the United States Federal Bankruptcy Court in Trenton, Forest Labs Inc. (now Allergan Pharmaceutical) and was also a court-appointed mediator for Essex County. After his first year in law school, Mr. Retif successfully completed Officer Candidate School in 2011, earning the title of United States Marine and his commission as a Second Lieutenant. Following law school, Mr. Retif went into active duty for a year in order to complete his training in military intelligence. Mr. Retif now holds the rank of First Lieutenant and continues to serve in the Marine Corps Reserves. Prior to law school, Mr. Retif received a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University where he graduated with honors in Finance while minoring in Economics. During his time at Seton Hall, Mr. Retif was admitted to the Finance Honor Society. He also became the Student Government Association President and pledged with the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity. In his spare time Mr. Retif acts and writes. He has also practiced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2007. Carrying the work ethics he inherited from the Marine Corps and his diverse experience, Mr. Retif is an attorney dedicated to achieving results for his clients while always keeping their best interest in mind.
