About Phillip

Growing up the grandson of a steel worker and a farmer, he saw first-hand the fruits of hard work, however, he also saw the dangers and risks workers faced on a daily basis. When Phil Risley was recruited to participate and compete in Mock Trial Competitions in junior high school, he met his first attorney and began learning about the practice of law. Throughout his education, he discovered how law could be used to give voice and standing to all people. During these formative years, he knew he wanted to make a positive difference in people’s lives. He realized pursuing a profession in law would enable him to help others. After graduating from law school, he worked at a small personal injury firm representing injured parties and fought hard to get his clients just compensation. He started a personal injury practice and recovered millions of dollars in settlements and jury verdicts prior to joining Ankin Law.
