Ray A. Ybarra Maldonado is a human rights activist, author, filmmaker, and public speaker. Born in Douglas, AZ, he is an aggressive trial attorney with not guilty verdicts in state and federal courts, and victories at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. In immigration, he has successfully bonded clients, attained U Visas, VAWA approvals, won appeals, and achieved permanent resident status. He co-wrote and co-produced "Rights on the Line: Vigilantes at the Border" and authored "Born on the Border." He is a Stanford-educated attorney, a former public defender, and currently teaches Evidence at ASU Law School. He is deeply committed to social justice and migrant rights.
