About Rhett
Rhett Wallace joined McCartney Stucky LLC in 2021 as an associate attorney and has quickly become an integral part of the firm’s trial team. A former prosecutor with the Norfolk, Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Rhett brings extensive courtroom experience to his practice. As an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, he tried cases involving violent felonies and serious misdemeanors on a daily basis. Today, he channels that same skill and tenacity into representing victims of defective products and negligent conduct from the firm’s New York office. Since joining McCartney Stucky, Rhett has helped secure numerous seven-figure verdicts and settlements for clients. He has also taken the lead in helping the firm leverage new technologies to maximize trial impact, overseeing legal research innovations, electronic discovery strategies, and courtroom presentation tools. Rhett works closely with audiovisual experts, engineers, and graphic designers to create demonstrative exhibits and animations that make complex technical issues clear and persuasive for juries. Rhett is licensed to practice in New York and Virginia and admitted to the Federal District Courts of New York. He earned his Juris Doctor from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, where he focused on trial practice, and his undergraduate degree in History from the College of William and Mary, where he was a member of the varsity Men’s Swim Team. Born into a military family in South Carolina, Rhett grew up moving across the country before settling in New York. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys swimming, golf, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen.
