About Richard

Richard Moses provides strategic counsel and advocacy for clients facing complex commercial and regulatory disputes. He has litigated cases across all four of Alaska’s judicial districts and has tried more than thirty cases to a jury. Richard represents clients at every level of the Alaska state court system, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice also includes advising clients on regulatory matters, including marijuana and alcohol regulation, campaign finance, and election law. Before entering private practice in 2022, Richard served as a trial attorney in the Kodiak and Anchorage District Attorneys’ offices. He also advised multiple state agencies on administrative law and represented the State of Alaska in litigation as part of the Department of Law’s Commercial and Fair Business Section. Originally from Kentucky, Richard earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and moved to Alaska in 2013 to clerk for the Honorable Kari Kristiansen of the Palmer Superior Court. He has called Alaska home ever since. Outside of work, Richard enjoys reading, cycling, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his partner and their two dogs.
