About Robert

Robert Alexander Carson III joined Merkel & Cocke, P.A. in April 2019, upon graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law and passing the Mississippi bar exam. Mr. Carson is a native of Marks, Mississippi, and proudly remains in the Mississippi Delta, as he now resides in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Before attending law school, Mr. Carson worked for a commercial real estate appraising company handling eminent domain just compensation claims in the surrounding areas of Houston, Texas. His time there made him realize he found the legal elements of his work more compelling than the real estate appraisal aspect, and thus returned to Mississippi to study the law. Mr. Carson clerked with Merkel & Cocke for two summers before he joined the firm full time. Mr. Carson is devoted to his clients’ success, and is excited and grateful for the opportunity to represent each and every one. When Robert is not at work, you might find him cheering on the Rebels at an Ole Miss sporting event with his friends and family, or on the back nine at a local golf course.
