
About Robert
Robert is a board-certified business litigator who serves as managing partner and leader of the firm’s litigation practice group. A native of Northwest Florida, he is honored to practice in the community where he was born and raised as a trusted advisor to local, regional, and national business interests. He is foremost a problem-solver who recognizes the litigation process as only one avenue to resolving disputes. In sixteen years of practice, Robert has navigated a myriad of complex business disputes in state and federal court involving various industries, including banking and financial services, real estate and development, defense contracting, manufacturing, information technology, hospitality, and community associations. In the insolvency arena, he represents banks, financial institutions, and private equity lenders in various workout, loan enforcement, and bankruptcy matters. In the corporate space, he has litigated matters involving restrictive covenant and non-competes, trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, and derivative liability of directors and officers. Robert routinely serves as special counsel to bankruptcy trustees, including a role as lead counsel to a Chapter 7 Trustee unwinding a multi-million-dollar Ponzi scheme. Well-versed in appellate work, Robert also maintains an active appellate practice. He successfully briefed and argued a high-stakes financial institution bond case before the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit just fifteen months into his practice. Since then, Robert has cemented a state-wide reputation for excellence in appellate advocacy. Robert received his Juris Doctorate degree with honors from the Florida State University College of Law where he was an award-winning member and President of the Moot Court team. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with honors from the University of Florida.
