Rodney Edmondson has served as a partner at the law firm of McLaughlin & Edmondson, LLC in Guntersville, Alabama since 2001. Prior to his joining the firm, he was an Assistant District Attorney for the District Attorney’s Office in Marshall County, Alabama. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1999 and is a member of both the Alabama Bar Association and the Marshall County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Alabama state and federal courts including the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Rodney has been actively involved in numerous civic and community organizations including United Way of Marshall County where he served as President for two terms and has been a member for more than 12 years, CAJA, James’ House Homeless Shelter, Marshall County Leadership Challenge, and Tennessee Valley Family Services, Inc. Rodney is frequently called on to serve as an instructor teaching other lawyers in their required continuing legal education. Rodney earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Jones School of Law in Montgomery in 1999 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Faulkner University, Montgomery, Alabama in 1996. He also served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps for six years before entering the practice of law. He was raised in Marshall County, where he graduated from Boaz High School. He currently lives in Arab with his wife and is a deacon serving his church family at Guntersville Church of Christ.
