About Russell
Russell A. Woodard Jr. is an attorney at RAWLAW. He graduated from Ruston High School in 2004, LSU in 2008, and LSU Law in 2011. In law school, he finished #1 in his legal writing and appellate advocacy class, competed on the Sports Law moot court team (semi-finalist), and argued in the annual Flory Trial competition (finalist). Upon graduation, Russell quickly built a diverse civil practice representing clients across north Louisiana. In 2018, he was elected by his colleagues to represent the 7th District of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division. Russell is a born-and-raised local of Northeast Louisiana and is passionate about defending the community. He has extensive experience in personal injury and commercial litigation, handling cases from bench trials and jury trials to appeals, including the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court. He also handles business, mineral rights, financial, civil rights, and employment law cases. Russell works directly with clients, ensuring personal attention. He is married to Gabrielle and has two sons, Colt (born 2020) and Waylon (born 2022). In his spare time, he enjoys bow hunting and sight-fishing.
