In 2023, Rusty was named a Texas Super Lawyer in the field of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. As a result of his long and documented history of significant recoveries, Rusty has been awarded lifetime memberships in both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of Texas Trial Lawyers Association, completed a one-year term as Briefing Attorney to Judge Murry B. Cohen of the First District Court of Appeals (1999-2000), and served on the Editorial Board of the South Texas Law Review (1998-1999).
