Ryan T. Smith is the founder of RTS Law Group and its CEO. He is known for his eye for talent and ability to map out exponential growth, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, interest-aligning partnerships, and strategic team-based work environments. He has amassed accolades from National Trial Lawyers and Super Lawyers, and was declared the 2016 Top Criminal Lawyer in North Carolina by Business North Carolina's Legal Elite, leading to his induction into the Legal Elite Hall of Fame. He is an NBPA Certified Player Agent and Commissioner of the Mecklenburg County Bar Lawyer Basketball League. His professional affiliations include the NC Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Mecklenburg County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (MCCDLA). He was named among the Top 30 Under 30 Business Leaders in Charlotte and National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense lawyers. Before private practice, he worked at Wachovia Securities in Corporate & Investment Banking. Born and raised in Wheeling, WV, Ryan's academic journey includes Marshall University's Lewis College of Business and West Virginia University College of Law, where he was appointed to Law Review and participated in the WVU Clinical Law Program. He also studied law and culture in Europe and South America.
