About Sarah
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Sarah understands the vibrance of our state’s communities and cares deeply about improving the wellbeing of New Mexican children and families so future generations can thrive. She worked as a Policy Analyst at New Mexico Voices for Children before law school and was funded by W.K. Kellogg to attend the University of New Mexico School of Law. As a law student, Sarah externed for the Honorable Judge Linda Vanzi, assisted with research concerning environmental and gender justice, and published a law review article titled Healthy Environment, Healthy Mind: Constitutionally Guaranteeing Children the Right to a Healthful Environment. Sarah began her legal career at Peifer, Hanson, Mullins & Baker P.A., where she practiced in areas including appellate law, commercial litigation, and employment law. Sarah practices through a trauma-informed lens and aims to help her clients feel heard and valued. Outside her practice, Sarah is an avid tap dancer and teacher. She has been a company member and teacher for Alley Kats Tap Company for over a decade and frequently performs locally with Alley Kats, BreakingEven, and her musician husband. Sarah loves spending time outdoors and exploring the Land of Enchantment with her husband and dogs.
