Scott R. McClure was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. He earned his B.A. Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, in 1998. He then attended the DePaul School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, and earned his J.D. in 2001. Attorney McClure became an Associate at the Law Office of Rhame and Elwood in 2001 and became a partner in 2017. He concentrates his practice in Municipal Law, Criminal Law, and Estate Planning. He has been a Porter County Public Defender for 12 years and is currently a Public Defender for the Honorable Jeffrey L. Thode of Porter Superior Court Six. He has served as the Assistant City Attorney for Portage, represented the Portage Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals, Police Merit Board, and Portage Township Trustee. He is also currently the Attorney for Porter County, Indiana, and represents the Porter County Plan Commission, Porter County Board of Zoning Appeals, and Porter County Storm Water Management Board.
