About Stephen

Stephen W. “Steve” Stone, originally from Carterville, joined the firm in 1996 after serving as a Judicial Clerk for the 5th District Appellate Court and practicing as an insurance defense attorney. Licensed in both Illinois and Missouri, he is known for his intellect, ability, and ethics in the courtroom, as well as his charitable involvement. Steve is an uncompromising advocate for his clients, representing individuals in Southern Illinois and refusing to let insurance companies take advantage of injured workers. He and his wife Tabitha reside in Marion with their five children. Steve is also the founder of The Benja Project, a non-profit supporting orphans in Uganda, Africa. With 27 years of courtroom experience, he has handled hundreds of complex cases for Southern Illinoisans.
