About Steve
Steve Schrumpf has over 30 years’ experience counseling companies in workplace and employment matters. Steve represents management exclusively and helps employers reduce risk through preventative practices and practical advice. Steve’s clients include numerous Japanese companies who have established Central Indiana as their home. Steve advises and counsels clients on a variety of employment practices including employment handbooks and policies, employee discipline, wage and hour compliance, disability accommodation, and workers’ compensation management. Steve counsels and trains human resource managers on issues related to the ADA, FMLA, Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII and various other federal and state laws. He also conducts audits for employment law compliance and provides internal investigations of employment discrimination claims. Steve has successfully guided employers through claims of race, age, religion, national origin, disability accommodation, sex discrimination and sexual harassment, and retaliatory discharge. He has broad experience in dealing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as state and local agencies.
