About Steven
Steven J. Mogul is a member of the firm, born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1957. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980 and his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1983. Steven was admitted to practice before the Maine and U.S. District Court for the District of Maine in 1984 and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1999. He has served on the Fee Arbitration Commission of the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar and is a contributing author to several American Bar Association surveys. He has extensive community involvement, including serving with the American Red Cross, Bangor Community Theater, Maine Discovery Museum, Maine Lakes, and the Town of Mariaville Comprehensive Planning Committee. He is currently on the Endowment Committee and Ritual Committee of Congregation Beth Israel, and the Bylaws and Policy Committee of The Penobscot Fly Fishers. He is a member and past president of the Penobscot County Bar Association, a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is trained in Collaborative Divorce.
