About Suzanne
Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, Attorney Bunszel attended Marshfield High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies (American Bar Association accredited) with a minor in Psychology from Elms College. During her undergraduate studies, Attorney Bunszel began to contemplate attending law school. After five years as a paralegal, Attorney Bunszel began her law school career at Suffolk University Law School (SULS) in Boston. While attending SULS, Attorney Bunszel was the National Co-Director of Membership and a National Conference Planning Committee Member for the National Women Law Students’ Association. She also participated in several clinical programs as a student-attorney, defending juveniles at Boston Juvenile Court and representing victims of domestic violence in family law matters at various Probate and Family Courts in the Commonwealth. Upon graduating from SULS, Attorney Bunszel began working as an Associate Attorney at Kurland and Grossman, PC in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, where her focus was family law litigation, probate/estate matters, real estate, and bankruptcy. In 2011, Attorney Bunszel relocated back to the South Shore, where she continued her legal career, primarily as a Probate and Family Court litigator. She spent several years at Cohen Cleary, PC in Taunton where she was a Senior Associate. More recently, Attorney Bunszel sought to expand her previous knowledge of probate administration and estate planning and then joined SKB Attorneys in October of 2023. Regardless of her client’s legal needs, Attorney Bunszel is very cognizant of the fact that her clients are dealing with difficult emotional and financial issues. Her goal is to help her clients navigate their way through the legal process with an individualized and personal approach. Attorney Bunszel has appeared before the Massachusetts Appeals Court on several cases and before most Probate and Family Courts within the Commonwealth. In addition to the state bar, she is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. While employed in private practice, she has also provided pro bono legal services to victims of domestic violence through Community Legal Services and Counseling Center, Inc. in Cambridge and as a volunteer Lawyer of the Day with the Bristol County and Plymouth County Probate and Family Courts. Attorney Bunszel has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Greater Lowell Bar Association, and the Plymouth County Bar Association. In addition, Attorney Bunszel has dedicated her time to several community-based organizations, including the American Cancer Society. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
