About Tamela

Tamela J. White-Farrell, also known as Tammy, is a Member and one of the founding attorneys of Farrell & Farrell. She is a premier trial lawyer, notably the first female trial lawyer from West Virginia elected to the International Association of Defense Counsel, and recognized by Chambers USA as an outstanding litigator. With a nursing degree from The Ohio State University (where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa) and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University (2011), she applies her medical and public health expertise to product liability, medical device, pharmaceutical, and toxic tort cases. She leads the Firm’s Health Care practice and has extensive experience in causation defenses and HIPAA standards. She also handles employment and workers’ compensation law. She has been recognized in Super Lawyers magazine in 2025 and by Best Lawyers in America across various categories, including being named 2024 'Lawyer of the Year' for Health Care Law in the Charleston-WV Area.
