About Taylor

Taylor Matthews’ desire to practice law stems from a desire to help people: to help people get their fair share in a divorce, to help people be treated in accordance with the law and basic principles of justice when they’re facing criminal charges, and to help people rest easy knowing their affairs are properly managed. Taylor prides himself on his ability to put the law in plain English for his clients and cut through the smoke-and-mirrors snake oil tactics that TV lawyers have a reputation for. Good news or bad news, Taylor will always deliver an honest assessment of the situation your in, its likely outcomes, and how he can help you get the best results possible. Taylor got his education at two of Texas’ premier universities: the University of Texas at Austin (where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political communication), and the Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth. A longtime resident of the Austin area (having moved to Kyle just before he became a teenager), Taylor began working at a probate and estate planning firm in Austin in 2016. Since then, he has represented a wide range of clients in a wide range of areas, although his primary interest lies in the fields of family law, criminal defense, and estate planning. If you need a lawyer, Taylor will always do his best to either help you directly or help you find someone who can.
