Former judge Thomas M. Ewert joined Spesia & Taylor in 2001, having served as presiding judge of Will County’s civil division for 24 years. Mr. Ewert’s vast knowledge of civil litigation rounds out the firm’s exceptional team of trial lawyers. He was appointed by the Federal Court as chairman of Northern Illinois’ Pipeline Commissioners Panel. He is a member of the Illinois Judges Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution; founder of Will County’s Mandatory Arbitration and Court Annexed Mediation Programs; and former member of the Joint Committee on Judicial Ethics. He received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1971 and a B.S. from Northern Illinois University in 1968.
