About Tim
Tim Jolley brings a wealth of legal experience to Guntersville Law, LLC, with over 44 years as a licensed attorney. He served as a Circuit Judge in the 27th Judicial Circuit, Marshall County, Alabama, from January 1999 - January 2017, and prior to that, as an Assistant District Attorney for 12 years, including Chief Assistant DA and Commander of the Marshall County Special Crimes Unit. He still serves as an Active Retired Judge and Special Circuit Judge. Tim is a Registered Civil and Domestic Relations Mediator, practices criminal defense, and handles civil and real estate litigation in North Alabama. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Birmingham School of Law in 1981 and completed his undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Forensic Sciences at Jacksonville State University. He is an Alumna of The National Judicial College at the University of Nevada, Reno, and has served as an adjunct member of its faculty. He was President of the Alabama Association of Drug Court Professionals in 2016. Additionally, he was appointed to the Alabama Prison Reform Task Force in 2015 and a committee to draft legislation for voting rights reform for convicted felons. He is married to Angela Jolley, has four children, and five grandchildren.
