About Tony
Mr. Dalton graduated first in his law school class of 1981 from Campbell University School of Law with honors. He has a BS degree with honors from Appalachian State University and graduated from West Henderson High School in Hendersonville, NC. He has been practicing law primarily in Transylvania, Henderson, Polk and Buncombe Counties for 36 years. He has received a “BV” or Distinguished Rating with Martindale-Hubbell for the past twenty years based on peer review. He has an active trial practice in all areas of criminal law from traffic offenses to capital murder and has been on the approval list for Capital Trial Lead Counsel for over twenty years. Mr. Dalton also handles criminal law, family law, estate law, and personal injury law. He was County Attorney for Transylvania County for four years, and was the primary attorney for the Child Support Enforcement with the Transylvania County Department of Social Services for 35 years where he won a number of awards, and served as a back-up attorney for Transylvania County Department of Social Services Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services for a number of years and is still a back-up attorney for the Transylvania County Department of Social Services. He is currently the back-up attorney for Buncombe County Child Support Enforcement. He has served as local Bar President and President of the District Bar on numerous occasions. He has been active in St. Timothy United Methodist Church and in civil clubs including the Brevard Lions Club, and the Pisgah Forest Rotary Club.
