About Tosha
Born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Tosha completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Memorial University of Newfoundland before earning her law degree from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in November 2023. Tosha began her legal career articling on Bay Street in Toronto, where she gained valuable experience handling complex civil litigation. She then returned to Atlantic Canada, continuing her work in plaintiff litigation with a focus on personal injury, sexual assault, and class action law suits. Before joining NOVA Injury Law, Tosha practiced independently and supported internal legal operations for a private company. In her practice, she employs a trauma‑informed approach, listening carefully to each client’s story, ensuring they feel respected, supported, and heard. Her goal is simple: every client should feel like they are her only client. Outside the office, Tosha contributes as a board member of Team Work Cooperative, supporting community development initiatives. She also participates in Nova Scotia’s Independent Legal Advice (ILA) program, providing advice and support to survivors of sexual assault as they navigate legal matters. When not advocating for her clients, Tosha enjoys running, CrossFit, and is known to have a travel bug - having backpacked across Europe twice. She shares much of her downtime with her beautiful Husky‑Malamute, Bella, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
