Partner W. Chad Jenkins’ primary areas of practice include criminal defense, family court matters, and personal injury/workers compensation cases. He obtained a sizable verdict for a local business in a worker’s compensation insurance coverage dispute. He has a thriving criminal defense practice, handling felony and misdemeanor cases, including DUI and other traffic-related matters. He served as a presenter at Continuing Legal Education seminars on criminal trials and for Magistrate judges. He is certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and Datamaster, and continues to learn law enforcement’s latest techniques. He presented on 'Defending A Breath Test Case' at the SCACDL Reese Joye DUI Seminar and at the DUIDLA seminar. He also presented on sex crimes and instructs at Magistrate training seminars. He served as an office courier and law clerk at Pope & Hudgens during college and law school, and returned to practice law in 2000 after a judicial clerkship. He served as an adjunct professor of Constitutional Law at Newberry College, serves on the Newberry Downtown Development Association Board, and previously served on the local YMCA Board of Directors.
