Morris Kizer, a native of Milan, Tennessee, graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1972 with a B.A. degree, and from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1975. Mr. Kizer was selected as a member of the Order of the Coif, and was the Case Notes Editor for the Tennessee Law Review. Mr. Kizer has served as a director and the chairman of Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation, a director and the secretary/treasurer of Knox Area Rescue Ministries, a director of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute, a member of the Board of Governors of the Knoxville Bar Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Bar Foundation. As an adjunct professor, Mr. Kizer taught transactional law at the University of Tennessee College of Law for five years. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator and is listed as a certified mediator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Mr. Kizer served as the Law Director for the City of Knoxville from 2004 to 2008.
