Wm Thurmond Bishop is an Attorney at Law with over 43 years of experience. A native of the Lakelands area of South Carolina, he graduated from The Citadel and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He served 3 years in the US Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam. His career includes serving as County Attorney for Abbeville County, Public Defender for Abbeville and Greenwood Counties (1986-1987), and a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of South Carolina, where he was appointed Chief Judge in 2002 until his retirement from the bench in 2006. He then returned to general practice. Mr. Bishop is an “AV” rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell, recognized for preeminent ethics and legal ability.
