About Wyman

Wyman O. Gilmore, Jr. graduated from the University of Alabama in 1980 and Cumberland School of Law in 1983. He returned home to Grove Hill and began practicing with his father and sister in 1983. His practice evolved into primarily representing individuals and consumers in personal injury, fraud and wrongful death cases. In 1999 Mr. Gilmore was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar and began focusing much of his practice on discrimination cases against various automobile finance companies. He has practiced in the state courts of Alabama and Tennessee, and has tried cases in the states of Mississippi and Florida. He has practiced in the U. S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama, and the Middle District of Tennessee, the District Courts for New Jersey, New York and California, the U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 6th and 11th Circuits, and the U. S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Clarke County Bar Association, Public Justice, American Association for Justice, Alabama Association for Justice, and has served on that organization’s executive committee for several years. In July, 2004, the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice honored Mr. Gilmore and his associate counsel as finalists for the organization’s annual Lawyer of the Year Award. In 2007, Mr. Gilmore was elected into membership of the Fellows of the Alabama Law Foundation. In 2009 and again in 2010, Mr. Gilmore has been designated by his peers for inclusion in Alabama Super Lawyers. Since 2007 Mr. Gilmore has served on the Board of Directors for the Regional Child Advocacy Center. He is the Chairman of the newly formed Southwest Regional Airport Authority.
