Case Details

Our client stopped to help a stranded semi on a winter night. Minutes later, a chain-reaction crash caused life-changing injuries. We proved that a certified medical examiner should never have cleared the truck driver to be on the road. A Gallatin County jury agreed. The jury assigned 51% of the fault to the medical examiner and 49% to the other drivers, while assigning no fault at all to the injured plaintiff, who had stopped to render aid as a Good Samaritan.

Additional Notes

Net recovery of approximately $4.475 million against the medical examiner.
