Case Details
A Federal Express captain was accused of killing his Federal Express captain wife and burning her body. The jury returned a not guilty verdict in less than an hour. A year later, the State of Mississippi tried Mullins on an arson charge concerning the vehicle, and the Trial Judge granted a directed verdict on the second day of trial.
Additional Notes
This was a capital case. Mullins, who was on unpaid suspension until the cases were determined, was reinstated with back pay. He still flies for Federal Express.
