A Kansas jury found Syngenta negligent and awarded $217,700,000 in compensatory damages to more than 7,000 Kansas corn producer plaintiffs in the Syngenta corn class action lawsuit. The case alleged that Syngenta's actions with genetically modified corn strains led to a loss of the Chinese market for U.S. corn, causing economic harm.
