Client developed chest pains and abdominal pain, classic signs of aortic dissection, but was misdiagnosed with constipation by a physician's assistant at Exodus Healthcare. After a second misdiagnosis, Mr. Wilcox died of aortic dissection. The firm represented his widow and estate.
Additional Notes
Jury found Mr. Wilcox 30% at fault, Exodus Healthcare 70% at fault for breaching standard of care. Original offer to settle for $1 million was not accepted.
