Case Details
Client slipped and fell due to a roof leak in his apartment after management made multiple attempts to repair the leak. The fall led to a back injury that required surgery. The client’s pain, mental anguish, and impairment from the fall were significant.
Additional Notes
After taking several depositions from former employees, it was revealed that there was still an open work order for additional repairs from two weeks before the client’s fall. No one from the apartment complex could explain why the repairs were not addressed. At that point, the insurance company for the apartment complex tendered its policy limits of $1,000,000.
