Original verdict against DYFS was $166 million, later amended to $102 million by Superior Court Judge James Rothschild Jr. Blame apportioned 25% to abusive father and 25% to each of three negligent caseworkers. Award included $57.7 million for pain and suffering and $75.9 million for future medical expenses.
