Automobile accident involving a hit and run wherein at-fault driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The insurance carrier initially denied coverage claiming the vehicle had been stolen. Investigated the matter and, with the assistance of the investigating officer, was able to show vehicle was not stolen but rather the owner of the vehicle picked up that at-fault driver after the collision at a nearby business. Recovered the full extent of liability coverage for both personal injury and property damage.
