Karen Del Re, 53, of Hazlet Township, was driving westbound on Route 36 in Keyport when her car was struck from behind by a Turnpike Authority truck. The truck accident caused severe injuries to Del Re’s shoulders, hands, left knee, cervical, and lumbar discs, requiring a full knee replacement and multiple surgeries.
