Truck driver suffered a severe leg injury in a work accident while manually unloading a delivery truck due to a customer's broken forklift. The injury required surgery, developed life-threatening complications (risk of amputation), and resulted in constant, permanent pain and inability to work as a truck driver. One defendant settled prior to trial, and a new trial on damages was successfully argued on appeal after an inadequate jury award. Also successful in a Worker’s Compensation claim.
