Victim died in late 2009 from complications after sustaining injuries requiring removal of most intestines and multiple surgeries. Jury found employer 75% at fault, victim 25% at fault for not triggering backup brake. Additional settlements: $950,000 from the truck's servicing company and an undisclosed amount from the manufacturer.
