A Collegeville man was sentenced to 100 days to five years in county prison after pleading guilty to a DUI charge with a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit, following a crash into a tree.

This was the driver's second DUI offense. A plea agreement allowed for eligibility for a work release program and 48 hours of community service. Several other charges were dropped, including driving an unregistered vehicle, disregarding traffic lanes, speeding, abandoning a vehicle, and careless/reckless driving.
