Client Kelly tripped and fell over a sprinkler head on a pathway, resulting in a broken nose, two front teeth, and a severely fractured left wrist requiring surgery. She later developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).
Additional Notes
Accident occurred on June 16, 2013. Wrist surgery required external fixation. CRPS is a permanent condition. Liability was contested between the City of Kirkland (owner of pathway) and the homeowner (who installed the sprinkler). Settlement reached through mediation.
