Howard Janet and Kenneth Suggs were appointed as Special Counsel to assist the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office in its pursuit of a landmark environmental lawsuit brought by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection against Exxon Mobil Corporation. The suit sought compensation for extensive damage Exxon Mobil Corporation caused to highly valuable state-owned natural resources, including large tracts of land and essential waterways. The litigation produced a $225 million settlement.
