Case Details

Utah alcohol authorities filed a complaint and threatened to revoke the liquor license of Brewvies movie theater for showing 'Deadpool' while serving drinks, alleging violation of a state obscenity law. The theater's attorney argued the law is unconstitutional.

Additional Notes

The law bans films with sex acts, simulated sex acts, full-frontal nudity, or caressing of breasts/buttocks in establishments with liquor licenses. The theater threatened to challenge the law in court.
