Used automobile purchaser sued dealership for misrepresenting vehicle mileage (31,000 vs. actual 131,000). Jury awarded actual damages, which were trebled under the Consumer Fraud Act and Federal Odometer Law. Attorney fees and costs also awarded.

Defendant claimed deception by previous owner, but plaintiff successfully argued dealership knew. Multi-defendant liability under FOL is joint and several. Case settled thereafter on appeal. Published as 331 N.J. Super. 197.
