Case Details
On March 15, 2018, the Florida International University FIU-Sweetwater University City Pedestrian Bridge collapsed onto Tamiami Trail in Southwest Miami-Dade County while under construction, resulting in six deaths, multiple injured victims, and vehicles being crushed underneath. Our firm represented multiple victims in this tragedy, which included both members of the public traveling under the bridge and a worker on the bridge platform at the time of the collapse. Working with a team of attorneys from both in and out of Miami, our firm took a lead role in negotiating a collective settlement of over $100 million for the benefit of the victims of this tragedy.
