Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals affirmed judgments requiring member companies of the Center for Claims Resolution (CCR), including Dana Corp., Pfizer Inc. and Union Carbide Corp., to pay a $120 million settlement to 15,000 asbestos victims.
Additional Notes
The settlement terms called for payments from July 1999 through December 2004. Companies later refused to pay, leading to motions to enforce the settlement. $50 million in judgments attained, plus over $6 million in interest.
