Additional Notes
Initial jury verdict was $289 million (including $39 million compensatory and $250 million punitive damages) on August 10, 2018. Punitive damages were later reduced by the judge, and the plaintiff accepted the reduction to $78 million on October 26, 2018, to avoid a new trial or appeal. Jury found Monsanto liable for contributing to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and hiding risks from consumers.
