Settlement of $500,000 for Lyle Spruill against Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies for false arrest and civil rights violations. Spruill was falsely accused of attempted murder of a police officer in December 2019, but video surveillance proved his innocence.

Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors agreed to resolve the case. Prosecutors dropped the case in June 2020.
