Former Baltimore Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle was awarded $650,000 in a medical malpractice action. After spinal fusion surgery in 2008, a second surgery led to nerve problems in his hand and arm, forcing his retirement. The jury found the surgeon negligent for failure to provide proper follow-up care.
