A young woman had multiple back surgeries as a result of a defective ceiling that collapsed on her head in her apartment complex. After a four day trial in Miami-Dade the jury awarded the women $2,076,758 in damages. The Defendants denied any wrongdoing and that they had no notice of the ongoing water intrusion problem on the property.
