Settlement against the Archdiocese of Santa Rosa for sexual molestation perpetrated by a Roman Catholic priest, Xavier Ochoa-Perez, on nine plaintiffs, three of whom were minors at the time of representation. The Diocese and Bishop Walsh were accused of failing to protect the children despite knowing of the alleged misconduct.

Offending acts allegedly occurred between 1984 and 2006. The priest fled to Mexico and is sought on a federal arrest warrant for 10 felonies. Bishop Daniel Walsh personally paid $20,000 of the settlement. The case was litigated for almost a year.
