Client was discharged from a hospital after the hospitalist failed to review a chest x-ray showing a nodular opacity. A delay in diagnosis led to the client presenting with a large mass almost two years later. Client and spouse brought action against the hospital and physicians.

Case settled prior to trial. Client passed away shortly after settlement due to metastasis of the lung cancer.
